The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, is set to be crowned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025, The PUNCH Online has learned exclusively.
Investigations revealed that Ladoja’s nomination has received approval from the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde. Sources also indicated that a state delegation visited Ladoja and other members of the Olubadan-In-Council at his Bodija residence on Wednesday.
When contacted, a media aide to the 44th Olubadan, Adeola Oloko, confirmed the development to PUNCH Online.
“Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025.
“The ceremony is billed for the ancient Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the state capital.
It will be recalled that Ladoja had, on Tuesday, met with the kingmakers at his residence.”
