The Court of Appeal has officially constituted the National and State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal to handle disputes arising from the 2025 bye-elections in Kaduna State.
The tribunal’s formation follows the authority granted to the President of the Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice M.B. Dongban-Mensem, under the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the 2022 Electoral Act. Kaduna State’s Chief Judge has approved the High Court premises on Ali Akilu Road, Kawo, as the official sitting venue for the tribunal.
The panel will hear petitions related to the conduct and outcomes of the upcoming National and State Assembly bye-elections, which are scheduled to take place this Saturday.
