The prospects of a resounding win for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the 2027 general elections have once again been strongly projected.
Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Director General of the Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, expressed this optimism on Monday in Asaba. He noted that the South-South region remains committed to ensuring the re-election of President Tinubu.
Dr. Oghenesivbe highlighted recent endorsements of both President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori by All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Delta Central Senatorial District and the Ethiope Federal Constituency. According to him, these endorsements reflect a renewed sense of unity and collaboration within the Delta APC, inspired by the strategic and purposeful leadership of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, whom he described as the new face of the party in the state.
Oghenesivbe, who also serves as the Publicity Secretary of the APC Forum in Ethiope Federal Constituency, commended the federal government’s economic reforms under President Tinubu. He noted that the removal of fuel subsidy has begun to yield tangible benefits across all states, including the Federal Capital Territory, with governors utilizing the resulting savings to boost infrastructure and improve the quality of life for their citizens.
He further emphasized that Governor Oborevwori remains committed to delivering good governance marked by transparency and accountability, which he said will continue to promote development, foster unity, and strengthen the APC’s presence across Delta State’s three senatorial districts.
Dr. Oghenesivbe urged party members yet to align with the emerging leadership structure within Delta APC to do so without hesitation, assuring them of equal opportunities as pledged by Governor Oborevwori and other party leaders in the state.
