The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with statistics showing that a large majority of candidates scored below the 200 mark.
Of the 1,955,069 candidates who sat for the exam, over 1.5 million failed to reach the 200-point threshold. Only 420,415 candidates were able to score 200 or higher, making up just 21.5 percent of the total.
Additionally, fewer than one percent of the candidates scored above 300.
JAMB also revealed that 40,247 candidates below the minimum age requirement were allowed to participate in the exam as a way to showcase exceptional ability. However, only 467 of them (1.16%) met the performance criteria for excellence, and they will be further assessed in three additional stages.
The exam commenced on Thursday, April 24. To help candidates access their results easily, JAMB has provided two convenient options: through the official result portal and via SMS.
How to Check Your 2025 JAMB Result Online
1. Visit the JAMB Result Portal
Open your browser and go to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/login
2. Log In to Your Account
Input the email address and password used during your JAMB registration.
3. View Your Result
Once logged in, click on “Check UTME Results.” Your subject-by-subject scores will appear on the screen.
How to Check Your 2025 JAMB Result via SMS
1. Open Your SMS App
On your mobile phone, open the text messaging app.
2. Create a Message
Type RESULT followed by your JAMB Registration Number.
3. Send the Message
Text it to 55019 or 66019, the official result-checking lines provided by JAMB.
4. Get Your Scores
JAMB will reply with your scores for each subject.
5. Note the Service Fee
This method will cost ₦50, which will be deducted from your mobile airtime.
