Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, on Friday led a delegation to the Abuja residence of the late elder statesman and PANDEF leader, Chief Edwin Clark, to pay his respects.
Accompanied by former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, and former Adamawa State Governor, Bindow Jibrilla, Atiku was received by Pen Clark, who represented the bereaved family.
Speaking during the visit, Atiku emphasized that the most enduring way to honor Chief Clark’s memory is by promoting unity and inclusiveness across Nigeria.
He described the late nationalist as a symbol of integrity and a relentless advocate for national cohesion.
Echoing this sentiment, Mallam el-Rufai urged the Clark family to uphold the late leader’s ideals, ensuring that his vision for a united Nigeria remains alive.
