Jokpeme Joseph Omode, the Special Assistant on Social Media to Senator Ede Dafinone, has publicly praised Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Orowhedor Oborevwori, for the successful completion and commissioning of a state-of-the-art Science Laboratory and Computer Block at Ophorigbala Mixed Secondary School in Ughelli South Local Government Area. The project, handed over to the Ministry of Secondary Education on Tuesday, September 10, 2025, stands as a testament to the Oborevwori administration’s unwavering commitment to advancing educational infrastructure and fostering community development, in line with its guiding “Ukodo Na Tevwe” philosophy, which emphasizes progress and inclusivity.
Omode emphasized the profound significance of the project, noting that it transcends mere infrastructure development. The Science Laboratory and Computer Block were constructed to honor the legacy of retired teachers and pensioners of the Delta State Post-Primary Education Board, specifically Chief Sir Eric Dubu Onyan Obofukoro and Chief Lady Princess (Mrs.) Christiana Ewewu Obofukoro (née Mosheshe). For over 12 years, Chief E.D.O. Obofukoro had passionately advocated for this initiative, making it a deeply personal aspiration for the Ophorigbala community. The realization of this long-standing dream under Governor Oborevwori’s leadership has been met with widespread joy and gratitude, marking a pivotal moment for the community.
“This is more than just a building; it’s a tribute to the dedication of our educators and pensioners who have shaped countless lives through their service,” Omode remarked. “Under Governor Oborevwori’s visionary leadership, this project not only fulfills a decades-long request but also sets a foundation for educational excellence in Ophorigbala.
