Super Eagles star, Victor Boniface is set to undergo further medical examinations today as part of his move to AC Milan, according to reports from Italy.
The Nigerian forward began initial medical assessments on Friday, August 22, visiting the club’s facilities and completing the mandatory CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) checks before proceeding to the Galeazzi Hospital in Milan for more detailed evaluations.
Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Milan even recalled their trusted orthopaedic surgeon from vacation to personally oversee the process due to Boniface’s previous injury history.
The 24-year-old struggled with muscular problems during his two-year spell at Bayer Leverkusen and previously underwent surgeries for anterior cruciate ligament injuries in March 2019 and November 2020.
Despite these setbacks, Boniface scored 11 goals and provided two assists in 27 appearances across all competitions last season.
