President Bola Tinubu has relieved Fegho John Umunubo, his Special Assistant on Digital and Creative Economy in the Office of the Vice President, of his appointment.
The announcement was contained in a statement on Monday by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House.
According to the statement, Umunubo no longer speaks for or represents the government in any role, and members of the public have been cautioned against engaging him in the name of the administration.
“Anyone who interfaces with him in the name of President Tinubu’s administration does so at his or her own risk,” the notice read.
The State House further urged local and international stakeholders in the digital and creative sector to take due note of the development.
