When men who once sold their conscience still find followers to dance to their drum, what you hear is not wisdom, but the shrill cry of a parrot repeating what it was paid to say. he who takes money and still turns against his helper will never prosper.
Let us educate these parrots and their paymasters: the Senate is not a village square where anybody can jump on the stool to shout. Representation is not about empty grammar, it is about vision, intelligence, and delivery. Parrots speak, yes, but they only echo noise without sense, and noise does not build roads, noise does not pass bills, noise does not secure funds for community projects. Parrots can disturb the market, but they can never convince the farmer to sell his yam cheaper.
Senator Jide Ipinsagba has proven in two short years that legislation, when handled by a man of depth, goes beyond noise. His Federal University of Information and Communication Technology Bill is not a mere idea, it is a legacy. While parrots chatter about “speakers,” he is positioning our children to compete in a world where data, knowledge, and innovation control the economy. That is the difference between a senator who works and a pretender who hires writers to bark.
And let us not forget: the hands behind this attack are not clean. We know the story, money was collected, loyalty was promised, and betrayal was delivered. A party that gave life was repaid with sabotage, and a benefactor that gave support was stabbed in the back. That betrayal made APC bleed in Oba Akoko, it cost us victory even at the man’s own polling unit, a man who is going about sponsoring people to write against who gave him 48k dollars ? That is not leadership; that is treachery. And now, the same hand that weakened our house wants to come back and contest under the same roof? history does not allow itself to be reversed.
We cannot be bothered by such distractions. Ondo North is not hungry for parrots; we are demanding for progress. Ipinsagba has given scholarships, provided fertilizers to farmers, distributed over a thousand JAMB forms, trained women and youths with tools to build their future, brought health outreaches that saved lives, and installed transformers and solar lights in our towns. These are not “speeches,” they are tangible works.
So to the parrots and their sponsors, hear this clearly: Ondo North is not fooled. We know the source of your bitterness, we remember the betrayal, and we will not allow you to dance on the same ground you set on fire. Our district deserves a senator who builds, not a parrot who shouts. Our people deserve continuity, not confusion. And no amount of noise, no amount of paid write-ups, no amount of childish propaganda will stop us from choosing progress over betrayal.
In the end, parrots return to their cages, but builders remain on the land. Ondo North has chosen the builder.
