The session began with a solemn prayer led by Prince G. A. Adejugbe and was moderated by Adekanmi Ademola (Malaika), Secretary of TLG Akoko North East, who highlighted the purpose of the rotational meetings.
Ademola also praised Governor Aiyedatiwa and his deputy for their achievements, while acknowledging the backing of TLG Director General, Hon. Muritala Suleiman, and his colleague, Hon. Moyinoluwa, for providing the platform for the gathering.
In his welcome address, TLG Coordinator for Akoko North East, Hon. Ajaguna Kasali, expressed appreciation to the Governor for his foresight, citing the dualisation of the Akungba–Ikare road as a major relief to residents by reducing frequent accidents.
He also commended the 5km local government road networks across all 18 LGAs and reaffirmed the chapter’s loyalty to the Governor’s mandate. Kasali acknowledged the support of Akoko North East LGA Chairman, Hon. Mutiu Olawale (Babane), in hosting the event.
Speaking on behalf of the Governor’s Special Assistant on Mobilisation, Hon. Prince Timothy Korede, who also coordinates TLG activities in Akoko South East, lauded the Governor’s dedication to the youth movement and encouraged members to remain patient, noting forthcoming initiatives, including the distribution of TLG-branded shirts and Ankara, and the inauguration of TLG-Babes.
Representing the Akoko North East LGA Chairman, Hon. Yakubu Rafiu (Kashoki) described Governor Aiyedatiwa as a father figure and highlighted projects such as the installation of 300 solar panels to illuminate the LGA and ongoing rehabilitation of health centres across the state.
The DG-TLG, Hon. Muritala Suleiman, represented by Suleiman Muyideen, reminded members of the importance of loyalty and voter mobilization, emphasizing its role in supporting the ongoing Asiwaju–Datiwa project.
Leaders from across the region also shared goodwill messages. Com. Aliu Joseph of Akoko South West praised the Governor and the success of the meeting, while Hon. Agoke Joye, Leader of the House in Akoko North East, welcomed attendees and prayed for TLG’s continued success.
Other coordinators encouraged members to remain steadfast, project the Governor’s achievements, and carry all wards and units along in TLG activities.
The meeting concluded with prayers and special recognition for key supporters who made the gathering possible, reaffirming TLG’s commitment to unity, progress, and continued backing of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s vision for Ondo State.
