The Ondo State Chapter of the Society of Women in Taxation (SWIT) has inaugurated a new set of executives with Princess Yetunde Ajomole, FCTI, emerging as the second coordinator of the association.
The investiture, held on August 30, 2025, at the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) headquarters, featured the formal handover of office by the immediate past coordinator, Dr. (Mrs.) Adebimpe Adeogun, to Ajomole.
The oath of office was administered by the Deputy National Chairperson of SWIT, Dr. (Mrs.) Denarose Ajayi, on behalf of the Vice National Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs.) Caroline Ndubuisi, who joined the event virtually.
The event was graced by dignitaries, including the Acting Chairman of ODIRS, Mr. Bayo Rojugbokan, who participated via Zoom, the Special Guest of Honour, Chief Bunmi Alade, Chairman of the Day, Mr. Stephen Eniafe, and other members of the association.
In her inaugural speech, Princess Ajomole paid glowing tribute to her predecessor, praising Adeogun’s courage and pioneering role in laying a solid foundation for SWIT in the state.
“Your courage, vision, and pioneering work ensured that SWIT in Ondo State did not just begin, but began strong. You walked the walk, and today, we can fly because of the solid foundation you laid,” she said.
She outlined her vision to build on the foundation by promoting tax education in girls’ schools across the state, inspiring young girls to embrace taxation as a profession, and organising enlightenment workshops for women on tax obligations, compliance, and opportunities.
She also pledged to incorporate health talks and outreach programmes into SWIT’s activities to empower women physically, mentally, and economically.
Ajomole called for the cooperation of all stakeholders to achieve these goals, stressing that the new leadership would work to make SWIT Ondo Chapter a shining example of impact, empowerment, and excellence.
“The torch has been handed to us, and with God’s help, and with your collective support, we will keep it burning brighter,” she declared.
Other members of the newly inaugurated executive are Mrs. Fola Thomas (Vice Coordinator), Mrs. Fatukasi (Deputy Vice Coordinator), Mrs. Odugboye (General Secretary), Mrs. Adewumi Olutayo (Treasurer), Mrs. Olumoyero (Financial Secretary), Mrs. Adebayo Damilola (Publicity and Publication Secretary), Mrs. Oyeneyin Tolu (Assistant General Secretary), and Mrs. Adebulugbe (Membership Secretary).
