The Akoko North West Youth Forum has inaugurated its new executives at a ceremony held on Saturday, August 29, 2025, at the Kudurat Abiola Memorial Hall, Local Government Secretariat, Okeagbe.
Welcoming members at the event, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Comrade Ebenezer Ademola Olobayo, urged the new leadership to remain focused and proactive in advancing youth development and empowerment.
The Commissioner for Water Resources and Sanitation, Hon. Ayodele Akande, represented by the immediate past leader of council, Rt. Hon. Makanjuola Akintola, tasked the executives to embrace unity, transparency, and loyalty while discharging their constitutional duties.
The immediate past president, Comrade Samuel Mayowa, commended the electoral committee for its role in ensuring a transparent process.
In his word, “Let us all rally round this new leadership of the association and give them the necessary advice when necessary.”
A staunch leader of the forum, Comrade Ibrahim Bakare Abobo, paid glowing tribute to the pioneer president, late Ambassador Adojutelegan Mayowa, for his role in establishing the association.
“We will always continue to support the association in our own little capacity,” he added.
