Joseph Adesuyan has been elected chairman of the Ondo State Online Media Professionals after defeating his only challenger, Temitope Adedeji, in a keenly contested election.
The Chairman and Secretary of the Electoral Committee, Richard Ilesanmi and Kayode Animasaun, announced that Adesuyan polled 11 votes, while Adedeji secured three.
Agidi Mary was returned unopposed as treasurer with 13 votes, while Isaac Afolabi also garnered 13 votes to clinch the position of financial secretary. The committee added that no void vote was recorded in the exercise.
In his acceptance speech, Adesuyan expressed gratitude to members for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to lead with dedication, integrity, and commitment to the growth of the association.
Adesuyan also extended an olive branch to his co-contestant, Temitope Adedeji, urging him to join hands in building a stronger, united OMP.
