Lagos State Joins in 2025 Isese Day Celebration
The Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, has joined traditional religion practitioners in commemorating the 2025 Annual Isese Day Celebration held on Wednesday, August 20.
In her goodwill message, the Commissioner congratulated adherents of the indigenous faith, describing the event as a vital reminder of Lagos State’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and values.
Benson-Awoyinka reaffirmed the commitment of the Lagos State Government to fostering peace, inclusivity, and mutual respect among practitioners of all religions, emphasizing that cultural diversity remains one of the State’s greatest strengths.
She noted that the Isese Day celebration provides an opportunity to honour indigenous beliefs while promoting unity and tolerance across communities in Lagos.
