…Gov Adeleke reaffirms commitment to ease of doing business
The Osun State Government has rolled out a new online investment portal designed to streamline business approvals, cut red tape, and improve transparency, in what officials describe as a decisive step to position the state as a leading hub for trade and industry in Nigeria.
The portal, unveiled on Sunday by Governor Ademola Adeleke, is integrated with the state’s flagship “Certificate of Occupancy in 45 Days” (CofoIn45Days) initiative as well as the Harmonised Bill, both of which aim to fast-track regulatory processes and provide clear guidance for potential investors.
Commissioner for Information and Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, said the platform, available at invest.osunstate.gov.ng, functions as a one-stop gateway for those seeking opportunities in the state. He explained that it contains detailed information on sector profiles, incentives, permits, licensing requirements, and a step-by-step guide to setting up businesses in Osun.
According to him, the project was conceptualised and delivered under the Office of the Special Adviser on Innovation, Science, Technology, and Digital Economy. The portal, he said, offers a user-friendly interface that connects investors with resources across key sectors such as agriculture, mining, tourism, manufacturing, ICT, and trade.
Alimi noted that the platform aligns with Governor Adeleke’s broader reforms aimed at making Osun more business-friendly. He pointed out that it ensures investors can access direct support ranging from land acquisition facilitation to tax incentives and regulatory assistance.
He stressed that the digital gateway draws attention to Osun’s strategic location, improving infrastructure, skilled workforce, and investor-focused policies, all of which, he argued, make the state an increasingly attractive destination for both local and foreign capital.
Governor Adeleke, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to institutionalising efficiency in business processes, said the portal represents his resolve to create an enabling environment where investors can flourish while contributing to the state’s economic growth.
