Nollywood star Destiny Etiko has restored ties with her adopted daughter, Chinenye Eucharia, concluding a three-year estrangement that had fuelled persistent speculation among fans.
The reconciliation became public on Monday, when Chinenye revealed on Instagram that Etiko had resumed following her account. She shared a screenshot of the notification alongside a heartfelt note, describing the moment as proof that “restoration happens beautifully.”
Their fallout dated back to 2022, when Etiko addressed the breakdown of their relationship during a Facebook Live session. Without disclosing full details, the actress explained that she had been “hurt repeatedly,” which prompted her to unfollow Chinenye on social media.
Despite the distance, Chinenye continued to acknowledge and celebrate Etiko’s achievements in public, a persistence that appears to have played a role in rekindling the bond.
The renewed connection comes as Nollywood sees a trend of high-profile reconciliations, with actress Lizzy Gold also recently settling differences with Etiko after a two-year misunderstanding.
