The Ondo State Government has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction of the state’s ultra-modern judiciary complex, being handled by Westfield Global Construction Ltd.
During an unscheduled inspection on Tuesday, the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye, alongside the ministry’s Permanent Secretary and other top officials, lauded the quality of work done so far. The project, according to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, will be named after his late predecessor, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Olawoye noted that all necessary structural integrity tests had been carried out, assuring that there had been no record of defects or collapse. He praised the contractor’s performance but urged them to speed up work by increasing the workforce, stressing the Governor’s desire to commission the facility soon for improved judicial services and welfare of judicial officers.
The commissioner also commended the project team, urging them to remain committed to timely delivery of the facility, which will feature a ceremonial court, modular courts, registry, library, exhibition space, utility building, and parking lots.
Governor Aiyedatiwa had earlier visited the site in May, where he hailed the pace and quality of work, describing the project as a testament to Westfield’s commitment to excellence. He reiterated that the complex would create a more conducive environment for justice delivery in the state.
Founder of Westfield Global Construction Ltd, Abdulwasiu Adebisi, thanked the Governor for his support, assuring that the company would complete the project as scheduled.
