Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has concluded a three-day working visit to Bida, his hometown, where he held a closed-door meeting with All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders and inspected critical medical, educational, and infrastructure projects.
Governor Bago, who arrived in Bida on Friday and stayed through Sunday, visited the Gbangbara Level Two Primary Health Care Centre, one of 20 recently commissioned facilities, and spoke directly with patients and medical personnel, assuring them that the health sector remains a top priority.
He pledged to continue investing in health services so that every Nigerlite has access to quality medical care.
In Man Musa Kodogi, Nasarafu Ward, the governor inspected a dangerous gully erosion site and ordered the immediate construction of drainage to safeguard residents, noting that some houses would be affected in the process.
He also attended the graduation of Malama Habiba Nnabantigi College of Arts and Islamic Studies, where he urged students to be disciplined and serve as worthy ambassadors of the state.
As part of his agricultural drive, the governor later inspected farms and greenhouses around Bida.
During his stay, Bago met with APC stakeholders to strategise ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that unity and grassroots engagement would be critical to the party’s success.
