President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to Prince Adeniyi Oyemade, former Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry and two-term member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Prince Oyemade as “an accomplished businessman and public servant whose versatile leadership left a lasting imprint on governance in Lagos State.”
A native of Ogun State, Prince Oyemade represented Ikeja Constituency I in the Lagos Assembly, where he chaired the Budget and Appropriations Committee as well as the Education Committee. He also served on the Finance, Public Accounts, Sports and Social Development, and Mineral Resources committees.
“Your versatile leadership and results-driven approach to governance shaped critical reforms in budget planning, education, fiscal policy, and public service delivery,” President Tinubu said, praising Oyemade’s “principled commitment to grassroots mobilisation, community development, and an unwavering drive for national progress.”
The President commended his decades-long dedication to public service, remarking that his record of achievements set a high standard during his time in both legislative and executive capacities.
“As you reach this remarkable milestone, I pray for your continued good health and vitality to carry forward your commendable work,” Tinubu added.
