An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Ondo State, Engr. Ricardo Azeez, has commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for creating and inaugurating the Governor Advisory Council (GAC), describing it as a strategic move to strengthen governance and party unity.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his aide, Odudu Ayodele, Azeez said the establishment of the council would foster greater collaboration between the government and the party’s leadership across the state.
“This initiative by Governor Aiyedatiwa is a clear demonstration of his inclusive style of leadership and his commitment to carrying everyone along in the governance of the state.
“It shows his readiness to tap into the wisdom, experience, and political depth of seasoned leaders to ensure that decisions taken reflect the collective aspirations of the people,” he said.
The APC chieftain noted that the GAC, comprising experienced party leaders and stakeholders, would play crucial role in advising the governor on policies, programmes and political strategies aimed at delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
“With this development, the bond between the government and the party will be further strengthened, ensuring unity of purpose and coordinated efforts towards the progress of Ondo State,” Azeez added.
He urged members of the council to bring their wealth of experience to bear in supporting the governor’s vision for the state.
