SGX Mobility Donates Electric Tricycle to Lagos Ministry of Transportation to Promote Green Mobility
Lagos, Nigeria — In a move to support Lagos State’s push for sustainable and eco-friendly transportation, SGX Mobility has donated an electric tricycle to the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation.
The formal handover ceremony took place recently, with the General Manager of SGX Mobility, Mr. Femi Oyefodunrin, presenting the innovative vehicle designed specifically for Nigerian road conditions. According to him, the electric tricycle is equipped with a 4.0 KVA battery capable of covering a minimum of 60 kilometers on a single charge.
“The tricycle has been tested for both durability and efficiency. It comes with a battery charger, power bank, and requires just four to five hours to fully recharge,” Oyefodunrin explained.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Ministry, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olawale Musa, expressed appreciation for the gesture. He noted that the donation aligns perfectly with the Lagos State Government’s ongoing efforts to promote clean energy solutions and reduce environmental pollution in the transport sector.
“We are grateful for this donation, which underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in achieving a greener Lagos,” Musa said.
Also in attendance at the brief presentation ceremony were the Chief Executive Officer of SGX Mobility, Dr. Ayodele Awofala, and officials from the Ministry of Transportation.
The donation marks another step forward in the state’s mission to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles and innovative technologies within the transport ecosystem.
