The Chairman of Council of Ndieze in Lagos State, Eze Chika Nwokedi, continued with the celebration of his birthday by visiting and celebrating with motorcycle operators a.k.a Okada riders in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that it was a unique gesture because Eze Nwokedi left his palace and went to various filling stations within Ijegun and Ijedodo area and gave free petrol to hundreds of Okada riders to mark his birthday.
He was accompanied by his amiable wife, Ugoeze Pastor Tessy, the traditional prime minister (Onowu) and Chairman of his Palace, Chief Emeka Onwukaobi and Chief Godwin Anaeme respectively, Obi of Ijegun, Chief Chukwuemeka Ezuruike, Hon Chidozie Ukadire and members of the Palace including women, friends and wellwishers who witnessed the gesture to Okada riders.
Eze Nwokedi explained that he chose to celebrate with the Okada riders for this year’s birthday to identify and support them by buying free petrol and gifts to show them love and to demonstrate that everyone is equal before God.
He explained the significance of marking his birthday every year as he uses it to appreciate God and thanked Him for what He had done in his life and family; from nobody to somebody.
Eze Nwokedi recalled how he was sleeping inside the shop at Ladipo Market for several years but he did not relent in serving God seeking for His blessings.
“God turned me from being a beggar to a giver and that is the reason I will continue to give and give anything I have because it gives me joy and fulfillment.”
The traditional prime minister of his Palace, Chief Onwukaobi ,described Eze Nwokedi as a unique king, who is humble and a giver, who does not discriminate on ethnicity, tribe and religion. He stated that he sees every human being as equal and does not relent in assisting the people without grudges. He prayed that God should continue to give him good health and long life.
Chief Godwin Anaeme, who is the Palace Chairman, also described Eze Nwokedi as a good man with passion for humanity and has been consistently assisting people in various ways. He explained that he has known Eze Nwokedi for decades and what he is doing is not a surprise to him because he has been assisting people when he had little. And now that God has blessed him, he is not relenting and that is why God is blessing him the more.
Hon Chidozie Ukadire prayed that God should give Eze Nwokedi long life and good health because he has been touching people’s lives since he knew him for over 30 years at Ladipo Market till today.
The amiable wife, Tessy Nwokedi, described her husband, Eze Chika Nwokedi as a unique person and a blessing to people irrespective where the people came from. She explained that Nwokedi can give everything he has without looking back and there is nothing she could do to stop him because it is part of his nature.
She expressed her love for him and prayed that no weapon fashioned against him should prosper and he will live long with good health and means to continue to assist humanity.
