A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Chief Oluwaseyi Gabriel Ogundare, has praised Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for what he described as a well-thought-out and visionary appointment of commissioners.
Ogundare, popularly known as Hon. OGO, said the Governor’s approach to assigning portfolios—matching commissioners to ministries based on their qualifications and areas of expertise—demonstrates strategic leadership and a commitment to effective governance.
He described the move as placing “round pegs in round holes,” ensuring that each ministry benefits from capable hands.
“For the first time in a long while, Ondo State is seeing a cabinet where experience, competence, and leadership are purposefully aligned with sectoral needs,” he noted. “This thoughtful deployment is bound to enhance efficiency across the board and speed up the administration’s development agenda.”
Ogundare particularly commended the Governor’s choice in the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, highlighting the appointment of a dynamic and widely accepted youth to lead the ministry. According to him, this decision has resonated positively with young people across the state.
“It’s a bold message from Mr. Governor — that the time to invest in the youth is now. His decision is not only timely but also forward-looking,” he said, adding that the cabinet’s mix of seasoned professionals and energetic young leaders signals a future-oriented administration.
Hon. OGO also lauded the recent commissioning of a skill development centre by the Governor, describing it as a significant boost for youth empowerment and job creation.
He expressed confidence that these initiatives collectively position Ondo State on a path of sustainable development and inclusive growth.
