The Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN), Ondo State chapter, has congratulated Mr. Idowu Ajanaku on his recent appointment as the Commissioner for Information and Orientation in the state.
In a statement jointly signed by the chapter’s Chairman, Sunday Kolawole, and Secretary, Richard Ilesanmi, the association described Mr. Ajanaku’s appointment as well-deserved and strategically significant, given his professional background and long-standing involvement in public communication.
The association expressed confidence in Ajanaku’s ability to reposition the ministry for effective public enlightenment and foster stronger engagement with media stakeholders. It noted that his wealth of experience in journalism and public affairs would be invaluable in strengthening the relationship between government and the media, while also improving citizens’ access to timely and credible information.
ACSPN also pledged to collaborate with the ministry under Ajanaku’s leadership to promote media literacy, strategic communication, and institutional research aimed at boosting civic engagement across the state.
Mr. Ajanaku, who hails from Idogun in Ose Local Government Area, was among the 16 commissioners inaugurated by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Monday.
