The President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, has reiterated his commitment to conduct a free and fair election in Ohanaeze and declared that the electoral committee, which he set up, stands in order to restore peace in the State Chapter of the organization.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Chief Aguene stated this on the heels of claims by Chief Everistus Ozonweke and Robert Obasi denouncing the electoral committee and claiming that Aguene was a suspended member of Ohanaeze in Lagos State.
This was Chief Aguene’s reactions when P.M.EXPRESS asked him questions on the matter in view:
Recently, you released a list of members of an electoral committee. But there is a disclaimer in the public space saying that your committee is illegal and that you are a suspended member of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos. How do you react to this?
Your questions always make me laugh and sound funny. How can you suspend somebody who is not your member? And how can an illegal structure of Ohanaeze Ndigbo come up with a disclaimer? The electoral committee I set up last week stands. That is the same way the Consent Judgement stands. And that is the only way forward for Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos. Any other plan will be an exercise in futility. The chairman of the electoral committee, Chief Oliver Akubueze, {Mmiri} will soon make his official statement in that regards.

Aguene: Robert Obasi’s nickname is Judas Iscariot. If you don’t know it, know it today. If you talk about Ohanaeze Ndigbo, nobody will mention Robert Obasi. He was not even a member of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos then when the election that was nullified and led us to Court was conducted. Almost 98 percent of Ohanaeze Ndigbo members know Robert Obasi as Judas Iscariot. Some people call him a man that bites the fingers that feed him.
In short, if peace is restored in Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos, how do you think Robert Obasi will survive? This is a man (Obasi) I picked up from the street in Lekki and made him my personal assistant just for him to survive. He is very good in negative errands. He can trek from Satellite Town to Lekki. All the noise their group is making, he has never contributed a Kobo. It is because of people like Robert Obasi that some individuals are neglecting Ebonyi people. You cannot find such character in Anambra State but you can find similar cheap persons like Everest Ozonweke in Enugu. That is why both Everest Ozonweke and Robert Obasi cannot be separated by any human being.
Anytime Everest Ozonweke and Robert Obasi are asked to contribute money for whatever their group wants to do, that is when they would leave the group because they know that things are coming to an end especially Robert Obasi. The level of their poverty has gone to their bone marrow.
In all the struggle in their group, they will never contribute a kobo instead they make profit from people who are spending their money.
That is why I told you that Ubochi Ubochi is my friend and one day, I will settle with him and I will hear more stories about these fake partners. How can somebody who is not a member of Ohanaeze Ndigbo suspend its elected President? The Consent Judgement is already a bone on the neck.
Robert Obasi has no means of livelihood. He has been moving around with empty and fake files. When Maureen Ajala won the Vice Chairmanship of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Robert ran to her as a personal assistant.
I laughed and asked myself, how many months will he stay in that appointment because he would betray her and he eventually betrayed Maureen Ajala.
Meanwhile, Robert Obasi met this woman in Ohanaeze Ndigbo office as one of my women leaders when he was working for me as special assistant on crises and media propaganda. Well, a hungry man has no friend, no brother and no relations.
It was only one day that Robert Obasi appreciated all I did for him since I picked him up from the street. That day, he brought a bottle of wine and knelt down to thank me that he got N1 million from the money Ebonyi men, who wanted to be crown Ezes in Lagos, brought. He told me that there were also some Ebonyi people he met and demanded money from them to be included in the Ezeship crowning. Is it such characters Ndigbo will be taking serious? I am calling on everyone to be calm. The electoral committee I set up will function, conduct election and I will handover to the new executives of Ohaneze Ndigbo in Lagos State. “
