The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Katsina State on Tuesday, ahead of his final burial in his hometown, Daura.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport to lead a federal delegation in receiving the late president’s body, which was flown in aboard a Nigerian Air Force aircraft.
Top government officials, including state governors, federal lawmakers, and ministers, were also present at the airport to honour the former leader as preparations continue for his interment.
