Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has confirmed that the late former President Muhammadu Buhari will be buried on Tuesday in his hometown of Daura, located in the Daura Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking to journalists at the Government House in Katsina on Monday, the governor shared details of the burial plan, which followed consultations with Buhari’s family and associates in London, where he passed away.
“The remains of our late father and leader, President Muhammadu Buhari, who died yesterday in a London hospital, will arrive in Katsina tomorrow by noon. The burial is scheduled to take place in Daura around 2 p.m.,” Governor Radda announced.
He extended condolences on behalf of the state government and its people to the bereaved family, Nigerians at large, and particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the loss of his predecessor.
“May Almighty Allah grant us all the strength to endure this great loss,” the governor added.
