Factional President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief (Dr.) Omenazu Jackson, has declared that Nigeria needs total patriotism and national rebirth.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was contained in a press release following an emergency meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide convened in Enugu State on the state of the nation.
It stated: “After sober deliberations at the emergency NEC meeting on the worsening state of the Nigerian federation, we resolve to speak directly, truthfully, and without ambiguity”.
“Nigeria is wounded. Her soul bleeds. Her children are disillusioned. Her future hangs in the balance.”
“As custodians of our heritage and conscience of our people, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide now calls for total national rebirth — through sincere patriotism, visionary leadership, and collective responsibility.”
“Our humanity is lost in the valley of crass deception if we continue to think, feel and act as if all is well with Nigeria. Our social bond is our strength. The time to be a Nigerian is now — or we can as well kiss her goodbye. But honestly, I will prefer to bequeath that great country called Nigeria to my children’s children.”
“For too long, we have allowed ourselves to be divided by tribe, manipulated by politics, and subdued by mediocrity. The time has come to reclaim Nigeria not just in name, but in truth, equity, and shared destiny.”

Demilitarization of Civil Spaces, Ending state violence and creating a humane democratic environment.”

With tears in my eyes, I call for a new Nigeria —
