Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, founder of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), alongside all party members, has officially commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Nigerian judiciary for their integrity in upholding justice by restoring the original NNPP emblem.
Speaking on Thursday morning in Apapa, Dr. Aniebonam expressed gratitude to INEC and the courts for standing firmly on truth, fairness, and good conscience.
He urged Nigerians to continue placing their trust in the judiciary system.
Addressing party members, Dr. Aniebonam issued a strong warning against any future attempts to tamper with the party’s emblem, emphasizing the emblem’s importance as both the symbol and reflection of NNPP’s vision and mission, officially registered as number 11 with INEC.
“The NNPP emblem is divinely ordained by God Almighty to renew hope for Nigerians. It holds great spiritual significance, especially given the current challenges facing the nation,” he noted.
He further declared, “Anyone who opposes NNPP is opposing God. No one should attempt to confront NNPP members because we are God’s children.”
Dr. Aniebonam also addressed the recent controversy involving Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso’s alleged attempt to take over the party, describing it as a failed and fraudulent effort. “We have forgiven those who erred and have moved on. I hold no grudges against anyone.”
He concluded with a cautionary appeal: “I pray they reconsider their actions and make amends before it’s too late. The NNPP is a moving train—unstoppable and destined for progress.”
