In a significant stride toward innovation and member empowerment, the Divine Help Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative Society on Saturday, May 24, 2025, launched its Real Estate Division alongside a new mobile application aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
The unveiling ceremony, held at Mackvia Plaza near Ekete Inland Junction on the DSC Expressway, was filled with excitement as members and stakeholders gathered to witness what many described as a game-changing development for the Cooperative.
During his address, Evangelist John Esegine, President of the Cooperative, expressed gratitude for the day’s success and acknowledged the efforts of branch chairmen and their teams for their consistent support and service.
“Today isn’t just about launching a new division. It’s about stepping into a more digital, efficient era,” Esegine stated. “Our new mobile app will significantly streamline our operations and help eliminate the administrative delays we’ve experienced in the past.”
He also used the occasion to present a performance report to members, fulfilling a promise made at a previous gathering. Esegine announced that with the establishment of the Real Estate Division, all duly registered members are now eligible to own land and homes through the Cooperative—an initiative aimed at reducing dependency on renting and boosting asset ownership among members.
Guest speaker and Chairman of the occasion, Pastor Festus Ogbogoro, who also serves as Managing Director and CEO of Africa Green Gate Limited, stressed the value of real estate in wealth creation and financial stability. Citing Robert Kiyosaki’s cash flow quadrant, he encouraged members to transition into the investor quadrant, where their assets work for them.
“Real estate is not just property; it’s a pathway to financial independence,” Ogbogoro said. “With knowledge and the right tools, anyone can rise to great heights in this sector.”
Other leaders of the Cooperative, including Vice President Mr. Ohwe Ovie Fidelis, Ubeji Branch Chairman Prince Edema, and Principal Officer Engr Lucky Ighalo, expressed delight at the Cooperative’s progress under Esegine’s leadership, describing the initiative as visionary and impactful.
Adding a national perspective, Elder Eugene Jacob, President of the Global Movement Against Hunger, urged government authorities to invest more in agriculture, highlighting the strong link between food security and national stability.
“Addressing hunger is fundamental to achieving peace and development,” he noted. “Supporting agribusiness is a critical step in the right direction.”
The new app’s functionalities were detailed by Mr. Patrick Adewale Omotoye, while Engr Oreva Orior provided a live demonstration to familiarize members with its features. Attendees praised the platform for its innovation and user-friendly design.
A new logo, which visually represents the identity and mission of the Cooperative, was also revealed by the brand designer.
The event concluded with high hopes for the future as the Cooperative embarks on this new chapter—driven by technology, strategic investments, and a renewed commitment to member welfare.
