Tension has enveloped the town of Ore in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State following the tragic killing of a commercial motorcyclist, identified as Nazifi Ibrahim.
The incident reportedly happened around 10:40 p.m. on Alafia Street, located along the Ore/Benin Expressway.
Sources disclosed that Ibrahim, originally from northern Nigeria, had just dropped off a passenger at the location when he was attacked and shot by suspected motorcycle thieves.
“We are still in the dark about what led to the shooting. All we know is that he was gunned down by unidentified individuals,” a local resident said.
His remains were laid to rest in accordance with Islamic customs in Ore.
A police source who confirmed the development said that an investigation has been launched to identify and apprehend those responsible for the killing.
