A 35-year old man, Feranmi Adeshina, was on Thursday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court Ibadan for allegedly stealing his boss’s compressors.
Adeshina, whose address was not provided, was charged with shop entering, stealing and malicious damage.
He however pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Prosecutor, Insp Adeshina Folaranmi told the court that the defendant committed the offences on May 11, at about 6:30 a.m., at Temidire market, Eleyele, Ibadan.
Folaranmi alleged that the defendant entered the shop of his boss Mrs Olaitan Adeyemi and stole her compressors worth N1.5 million.
He also said that the defendant willfully and unlawfully destroyed Adeyemi’s iron pipe worth N225, 000 with the intent to steal.
He said the offences contravened Sections 413, 390(9) and 451 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Oluwabusayo Osho granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1 million with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until July 9, for hearing. (NAN)
