The sons and daughters of Akungba Akoko, both at home and in the diaspora, have come together to celebrate the 60th birthday of Ondo State Governor, His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
The milestone has been hailed as a testament to the Governor’s impactful leadership and dedication to the progress of the state.
In a statement issued by Pius Ade Babaleye, Coordinator of the “Who’s Who in Akungba” platforms, the community expressed their gratitude for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s transformative leadership.
They highlighted his contributions to infrastructural development, enhanced security, and economic growth across Ondo State, which have earned him widespread respect and admiration.
As part of the celebrations, the Akungba community took the opportunity to draw attention to a pressing issue: the urgent need for the dualization of Akungba roads.
Describing the road as narrow, poorly signed, and increasingly accident-prone, the statement emphasized its importance as a critical link for transportation and commerce within the state.
“The Akungba road has unfortunately become a hazard due to frequent accidents, endangering lives and livelihoods,” the statement read. “We humbly appeal to His Excellency to prioritize its dualization, which will not only save lives but also bolster the local economy by improving the movement of goods and services.”
The community reaffirmed their support for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration, expressing confidence in his ability to address this critical need.
They emphasized that the dualization of the Akungba roads would be a lasting legacy of his commitment to the safety and welfare of Ondo State residents.
As Governor Aiyedatiwa marks the remarkable milestone, the Akungba sons and daughters joined voices to wish him good health, continued success, and more impactful years in office.
“Happy 60th birthday, Governor Aiyedatiwa! May your leadership continue to elevate Ondo State to new heights,” the statement concluded.
