The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Temitayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, describing his death as a significant loss to the state’s political and developmental strides.
In a heartfelt statement, Tunji-Ojo eulogized the late Oluwatuyi as a visionary leader who served the people of Ondo State with dedication and excellence.
“Honorable Temitayo Oluwatuyi was a progressive leader known for his wisdom and exceptional competence,” the minister said. “He remained steadfast in his commitment to the well-being of the people and upheld a pro-people agenda throughout his public service career.”
Popularly known as “Tuykana,” Oluwatuyi was praised for his years of unbroken service to Ondo State, with Tunji-Ojo lamenting the timing of the loss. “His demise is a monumental blow to the progress of our state at a time when his contributions were most needed.”
The Minister extended his condolences to Oluwatuyi’s family, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and the entire Ondo State Government, highlighting the impactful legacy left behind by the late SSG.
“We are comforted by the remarkable life he lived and the indelible marks he left in the sands of time,” Tunji-Ojo remarked. “I also extend my sympathies to the people of Akure Kingdom on this tragic loss.”
He concluded with prayers for the repose of Oluwatuyi’s soul and divine comfort for his grieving family.
